Bad Ice Storm on January 14 - 16

There was a bad ice storm on January 14. Several trees came down on the power lines at our backyard and caused the whole neighborhood lost power. Here is the picture from our backyard, as you can see that the power line was damaged and forzen by the ice on it.

I was kindly hosted by Jay's family. I spent two nights at Jay's home and my cousin's family spent three night at her friend's home... It was a bad ice storm, and it was extremely cool without the heat at home... The temperature that day was -12 C, it was freezing... can you imagine how cool is it... You will never know!!!


Here are some pictures of the trees with ice on them, some scene were extremely beautiful. It looked like a crystal hang on the trees...

After losing power for three days, finally we got the power back... It is possible for you to survive without air-conditioning in the winter, but it might be impossible for you to survive without heat in winter. As it is extremely cool... I never ever put on five layers clothing before i go to bed at night during the winter time, but i did when without heat in the winter night....

AutoShow @ Cobo Centre, Detroit

We just concluded our prospous 2006, and now we are looking forward to a brand new 2007! In the first week of January, i was enrolled to EMU as a Junior student. In this semester, the new schedule was killing me and it will be a tough semester, as i'm getting into my major courses, so it will be more difficult. Anyway, i will try my best:0)....


We went to the AutoShow 2007 at Cobo Centre, Detroit on January 15. Here are some pictures from the Auto Show 2007:

Why all of a sudden we decided to go to a autoshow 2007 and shell out $25 bucks for tickets, parking, etc? Well, the reason is because we have never been any auto show before. This year all automakers held a show at Cobo Centre, Detroit to exhibit their brand new car. So, we have chance to explore this awesome autoshow at Detroit. It was so crowded that day, i think there were more than 50 exhibitors participant this year, such as Lamborgini, Ferrari, General Motor, Chrysler, Ford, Toyota, Audi, Honda, Acura, BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, etc..... It was an excellent show, i was enjoying when i was sitting in my dream cars.... Those cars motivated me to study hard and work hard in order to let my dream become true, and own them....

I think those pictures were taken on December 28, 2006, which was HooiSin's Birthday. But i just got it recently, so i posted it in my blog. HooiSin, i was so sorry i can't celebrate your 22nd birthday with you last year, but i think you won't mind as you got a lot of friends to celebrate it with you, so i think you definately got a wonderful birthday party that day! ;>...

2006 X'mas Holidays & Happy New Year 2007

Christmas eve was at Jay's house... Actually we didnt celebrate on Christmas eve... Nothing special on Christmas day, as we all were busy on doing our part-time job to earn more money... Here are some pictures from our neighbor house, they did Christmas decoration at their yard... It was so beautiful at night when all the light on...

Kids love Christmas day, as they can get presents from their parents. Look!! Kosta and Sophia got their presents on Christmas day. Actually, i got my present from my cousin(Lee) too. By right i should buy one gift for exchange, but i have no time to do shopping during Christmas time. So i think we can do the gift exchange next year.
Both of them were so happy after getting their Christmas presents. Look!!! Sophia doesn't let Kosta touch her present.
