Summer Vacation 07 - Redang Island, July 14-

The white sandy beach, crystal clear water and picturesque scene made me fall in love with Redang Island. This summer vacation we made a three days two nights trip to Redang Island, It was an unforgettable trip. We had a real relaxing time and had fun for sure. We stayed at the famous resort on the Redang Island - Laguna Resort-. Nearly most of us are first time experienced Redang Island. No doubt, it's also my first time to experience such a wonderful island. White sandy beach, clear water, picturesque scenes and coconut trees everywhere, it make me felt like i was so close to the nature.

Here, i did a research of Redang Island. Redang Island is located at 45km off the coast of Kuala Terengganu, is the largest of the group of island dotting the South China Sea off the Terengganu coast. The island offers crystal clear waters and numerous dive sites for the enthusiast. Sheltered within the Pulau Redang Marine Park, the waters here abound with marine life. Redang Archipelago exists of nine islands that abound with marvelous marine fishes, turtles and coral reefs that ensure great snorkeling and scuba-diving.

There were a lot of activities going on at Laguna Beach. However, the most enjoyable activity was snorkeling. It was the wonderful experience. As it's my first time, there was initial fear which was overcome by my curiosity. I was totally attracted by the corals, sea cucumber and colorful fishes like reef shark, blue spotted stingray and clown fish, etc. It was amazing to explore the underwater at Rendang Island. Awesome!! That was my first trip to Rendang Island and definitely it will not be the last!!! I will be back Rendang Island!!

We left on July 13 and we had HooiSin's parent gave us a ride to the bus station. Here is the picture that we took at bus station before we got off to the Merang Jetty, Kuala Terengganu.

We left around 10pm on July 13. After 10 hrs driving, we finally got Merang Jetty. Here are some pictures at Merang Jetty.

There were different resort boats at Merang Jetty which pick up tourists to Redang Island. Those boats were going to different resort on the Island. As you can tell the resort quality from the boats. Those are ranked as lower quality resort.

Better than above.. Ranked at medium class quality resort...

Look at our resort luxury boats... Laguna Redang... was ranked as first class resort in Redang Island.

We spent the night at the bus and we got Merang Jetty around 7 a.m. in the early morning and caught up our first boat to the Redang Island. But the first boat to Redang Island was scheduled at 9 a.m. so we still have plenty of time to walk around. Here are the pictures that we took from the Fish Village at Merang Jetty:

We finally caught up our first boat at 9 a.m. to our final destination-Redang Island-. It took us about 40mins from Merang Jetty to Redang Island. It could take longer than 40mins, because it's all depend on the tide and the weather condition. Luckily, the weather was nice so it also took us about 40mins to be there. We took some pictures from the boat.

Welcome to Redang Island !!! After 40mins, we finally got Redang Island. We were greeting by the Laguna staffs.
Those staffs were unloading our baggages. Those baggages were directly sent to Laguna resort.

Before we checked in, we had to attend the orientation which was provided by the Laguna Resort. We took those pictures at Laguna conference room.

After we done the half an hour orientation, we took the shuttle bus from the Laguna Jetty to Laguna lobby. Awesome!! This is the Laguna Resort, which is the best quality resort on the Redang Island. We stayed two nights at Laguna Resort.

Designed as a modern interpretation of traditional Malay architecture, the low-rise resort blends harmoniously with the environment, making it one of the loveliest resorts in the island.

Have you ever heard about the Hong Kong moive - summer Holiday in year 2000. This movie was acted by famous movie stars-- Sammy Chen and Richie Ren. The movie was taken at Laguna beach, and this "More More Tea Inn" was created because of the movie. Now it has become the tourist attraction of Laguna beach. We took a lot of pictures there.

After we done our check in, we were arranged for our lunch at Laguna lounge. As our package was including all meals in Laguna. Our meals were all in buffer style. The food was so delicious. This the picture that i took from the lounge at the second floor. Awesome!! I love this picture so much, it was a nice shot!!

Dang!! Dang!! Dang!! This is our room at Laguna Resort, it was so comfortable and we spent two nights here. We had a relaxing time and had fun for sure.

After picked our baggages at lobby, we all headed to our room and unloading our baggages and changed. We started having fun at Laguna beach. We start up with the very first warm up at the pool side. Meals and accommodation were included in our package, so the thing we had to pay is the equipments for snorkeling, such as goggles and life jackets.

Oops... I found a "sleeping beauty" at the Laguna beach. Haha... no!! He is Eddie, HooiSin's coach. I guess he was tired after playing around with his kids. So he was really enjoyed his nap at Laguna beach.
After playing at Laguna beach for all day long, we were so tired and definitely we had fun. We had our wonderful dinner at Laguna lounge. Here are some pictures we took at Laguna lounge:

After we done our dinner, we walked on the white sandy beach, and explored the night scene at Redang Island. We sat on the bench enjoyed the wind blew from the seaside. Here are the pictures we took:

It was late and we all tired after playing for the whole day. There was one birthday queen in our group, so we celebrated her birthday at Laguna Beach before we all got back to sleep.
